Bloomberg Philanthropies is investing $24 million over three years to enable five cities—Atlanta, Ga.; Chicago, Ill.; Louisville, Ky.; Memphis, Tenn.; and New Orleans, La.—to recruit and hire top tier talent to staff their teams. As part of this investment, the organization has also started accepting applications for the Bloomberg Innovation Delivery Fellowship. The initiative will help support Innovation Delivery Teams in these five cities to help deliver powerful solutions to major urban challenges.
“In each city, the Innovation Delivery Team will focus on top priority issues identified by City Hall, achieving results and producing value,” the organization explains. “In Atlanta, the team will implement a comprehensive 311 system to improve customer service. In Memphis and Louisville, the teams will implement new job-growth strategies. In Chicago and New Orleans, the teams will cut waiting and processing times for key city services.”
