I wish I could have attended. The points they made are great, and we certainly need to be more self-aware about climate change in the transportation industry as opposed to giving it cursory glances and general values statements. Those things only go so far. I think the key is for state DOTs to expand on their movement towards performance-based decisions and include climate change and other environmental factors among the data. As pointed out, we desperately are in need of reliable and meaningful climate data. When the industry is capable of producing this, DOTs might better be able to link strategies and policies to those measurements. Great coverage on the panel, Megan. I wish I could have attended.
