What:
The Swedish Trade Council, the Embassy of Sweden in Washington D.C. and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) are hosting a sustainable transportation themed seminar. The seminar will exchange experiences from the United States and Sweden with the hope of creating a medium in which to foster new and creative ideas in the technology of alternative fuels and engine development, especially in key sectors such as electric vehicles and biofuels. The Seminar will also serve as a launch for ACORE’s 2012 Transportation Member Initiative and is a part of the Embassy of Sweden’s public outreach program Innovation and Education.
The seminar will feature speakers from both the U.S. and Sweden, panel discussions and a concluding networking session. Speakers include the CEO of Volvo Group, Olof Persson, Sweden’s Director-General for Trade Policy, Eva Walder, and General Motors’ Director for Environment and Energy Policy and Commercialization, Dr. Mary Beth Stanek.
