Hayden is a Writer and Media Specialist for the Communications Department. He works to familiarize people with WRI's programs and ideas through the Insights blog, which summarizes key findings from research for non-technical audiences. He also assists with media relations by connecting with journalists and tracking how environmental issues play out in the media.
At WRI, Hayden brings together experiences from media and environmental advocacy, including work with National Journal, U.S. Climate Plan, and Sierra Club. He has backgrounds in carbon pricing, sustainable development, and water rights.
Hayden holds a B.A. with high honors in anthropology from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., where he was a leader in campus sustainability and environmental action.
