Amruta Ponkshe is an intern with WRI on the Urban Development team. This summer, she will be working on analyzing and streamlining the TOD toolkit. She will also assist in preparing and organizing a curated collection of information on TOD gathered from various projects, countries, academic sources. Her previous knowledge of IT systems will be useful in tagging and classification as well as developing additional materials and case studies.
Originally from Mumbai, India, she is currently pursuing her Master of Global Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She is interested in urban issues in developing countries, so there is much that she would like to learn during her time at WRI.
She has a previous Masters in Habitat Policy and Practice from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India and has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in IT.
Amruta likes acting and going to the theatre, all things DIY, cooking and travelling.
